Popular movie reviewer “Blue Sattai” Maaran’s debut directorial “Anti Indian” released in theatres on 10th of December with much expectations among the audience who were waiting to review the reviewer’s film. Now, after the release, a wide belief on the film being a copy of 2014 released Hindi film “Dekh Tamasha Dekh” is doing rounds in online platforms.
The trailer of “Anti Indian” promised a political satire based on the death of an individual who belongs to Muslim religion. The story seems to be revolving around how the representatives of all the religions playing politics, even in disposing a dead body. Elamaaran, popularly known as “Blue satta” Maaran, is very well known for his rural slang, funny phrases, short stories and the reference of real life incidents in his movie reviews. For his unique style of movie reviewing, the man who always wears blue shirt has a separate set of fan following and his youtube channel Tamil talkies that enjoys million plus subscribers. He also gained equal number of haters for the way he criticized some of the top tier actors of Tamil film industry.
After completing direction for his debut film “Anti Indian”, Maaran faced issues at the censor board which declared that the film got refused. However, with the help of court, Maaran got U/A for his film and is all set to start promotions for it by releasing the trailer. Now, as the film got released in theatres, reviews started pouring in online platforms.
